2 Kings 19:30 (NLT)

Rev. E. A. EffiomAnd you who are left in Judah, who have escaped the ravages of the siege, will put roots down in your own soil and will grow up and flourish.

Each January, many people make resolutions. Resolutions toward dieting for a healthier lifestyle, financial stability, better relationships, stronger faith in God. The list is endless.

The challenge usually is that many do not even remember they made resolutions by the end of the first quarter of the year talk less of keeping them.

Every person prays for and wishes to have a great, fruitful, successful and hitch-free year ahead of them. With this, there are no secrets and no need for wild resolutions but that which the Holy Scriptures has given.

To bear fruit and flourish, you’ve got to first of all take root downward.

Laying the right foundation at the beginning of each year by spending quality time in God’s presence to receive direction, wisdom and a clear word of promise is the best resolution any serious believer should make.

Every time in Scripture God’s people seek Him, He always shows up mightily for them. Take Jehoshaphat and Judah in 2 Chronicles 20 as an example.

Isa 40:31 (AMP)

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
